City of Hampton

Description
Situated in southwest Henry County, the City of Hampton offers a homey, small-town feel in close proximity to the big-city amenities of metropolitan Atlanta. Although Hampton has maintained its rural charm, the city is home to the Atlanta Motor Speedway, and plays host to thousands of visitors each year.

Scope of Services
As a member of the consultant team selected to conduct the City of Hampton’s Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) study in 2010, The Collaborative Firm led public involvement efforts, in addition to conducting the land use and zoning analysis. Through the land use and zoning analysis, existing land use and zoning patterns, city plans, policies and zoning regulations were reviewed and recommendations were provided to guide the city toward achieving its vision for the future of its downtown area.

Value-Added Accomplishments
The Collaborative Firm team includes members with previous experience working within Henry County and the Hampton area, offering a unique level of familiarity with the community. This was instrumental in understanding the values and goals of the community, and envisioning solutions to work toward achieving those goals.
