Scottdale Revitalization Plan
Local Planning Studies
The Collaborative Firm, LLC was selected by
the Housing Authority of DeKalb County to
prepare a plan for the revitalization of the
Scottdale Community. Following a significant
public involvement process, a comprehensive
revitalization plan was developed that included
recommendations pertaining to land use,
housing, economic development, community
facilities, historic preservation, and community
organization.
Upon completion of the Revitalization Plan,
Firm professionals guided the community
through plan implementation efforts, including
creating a zoning overlay district, exploring
affordable housing opportunities, designating a
historic district and design guidelines for the
Scottdale Mill Village, and establishment of a
unified community group for Scottdale.
