In 2006, The Collaborative Firm, LLC was selected as the prime consultant for the Riverdale Town Center Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) Study, which was aimed at enhancing livability, mobility and accessibility in the area and creating a new town center for the Riverdale community, located just south of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Through this process, existing land use and transportation connections were examined and needs for improvement were identified. Citizens were engaged throughout the process in order to ascertain the vision for the study area, and urban design and market factors were considered to ensure the feasibility of the community vision.
