Johnson Ferry East Redevelopment
Development
The Collaborative Firm, LLC has been engaged as a
co-developer, along with the Housing Authority of
DeKalb County, to redevelop the former Johnson
Ferry East Apartments public housing facility into a
mixed-income, mixed–use community. Through this
partnership, the Firm has worked closely with area
stakeholders, Johnson Ferry East residents and
DeKalb County officials to ensure that the
redeveloped community, which includes senior
apartments, luxury apartments, single-family
residences, neighborhood retail and restaurants, a
public park, and a PATH Foundation multi-use trail,
will be an asset to the area.
In November 2007, as a result of the Firm’s efforts,
along with those of the Housing Authority, local
officials, and others on the development team, more
than 150 seniors moved from their former
apartments at Johnson Ferry East into their beautiful
new homes at Ashford Parkside Senior Residences.
