Jahnee Prince leads the operations and planning efforts of The Collaborative Firm, specializing in business development, government affairs, current planning, comprehensive planning, zoning codes, zoning overlay districts, redevelopment plans, and housing and transportation studies. Jahnee assists the Firm’s governmental clients with achieving their long range planning goals.
Jahnee has worked closely with staff and elected officials in cities and counties throughout the Atlanta region providing planning and public policy expertise on various long range planning initiatives. In recognition of her professional achievements, Jahnee was the recipient of the 2004 ARC Development of Excellence award for Visionary and Cooperative Development Process, the 2005 Georgia Downtown Award, and 2012 Georgia Planning Association Chapter Award for the Chattahoochee Hills Comprehensive Plan, Outstanding Planning Process for a Small Community.
Prior to joining The Collaborative Firm, Jahnee served as planning & zoning director, senior planner, and planning consultant for the City of Chattahoochee Hills, City of Stone Mountain, City of Fayetteville, Cobb County, and Council for Quality Growth. In this capacity Jahnee was extensively involved in the short and long-range planning matters within these jurisdictions. She also advised local elected and appointed officials on planning and zoning matters, service delivery strategies, and informed residents in the areas of local planning and zoning policy. Jahnee also served in the private sector as senior planner for LSL Planning and HOK. Jahnee developed training programs for the planning and development industries, including NPDES, sustainable building and development, and transit oriented development, as well as, supervised policy analysts working in 16 counties in the Atlanta region in her work with The Council for Quality Growth.


City of College Park Planning & Zoning Services: In 2012, The Collaborative Firm was selected to provide Urban Planning services for the City of College Park. Through this engagement Jahnee is the project manager and City planner, providing all planning services to the City, including evaluation of zoning requests, responding to zoning inquiries, review of business license and sign permit applications, site plan review, consulting on prospective new developments in the City, producing text amendments and plan amendments, leading long-range planning initiatives, coordinating with the Atlanta Regional Commission on the City’s behalf, and advising Mayor and Council on planning and zoning matters.

City of Fairburn Planning & Zoning Professional Services: Recently, the Firm was selected by the City of Fairburn to provide planning services on an on-call, task order basis. Under this arrangement, Jahnee has provided review of zoning applications, preparation of text amendments, research planning-related issues, evaluate business license applications for compliance with the Zoning Ordinance, and anything else needed under the direction of the Community Development Director.

City of Fayetteville, Director of Planning & Zoning: Jahnee managed the City’s interdepartmental development review process, amended the City’s Code of Ordinances to provide incentives for traditional neighborhood development, enhanced urban design, mixed land uses, and greenspace preservation, and updated the City’s Comprehensive Plan using an extensive public involvement process.
